Tomb Raider è un videogioco sviluppato da Core Design e pubblicato da Eidos Interactive. È stato
originariamente rilasciato nel 1996 per PC, PlayStation e Sega Saturn. Tomb Raider narra di Lara Croft, un'archeologa
inglese dai succinti vestiti alla ricerca di antichi tesori - che può vagamente ricordare Indiana Jones -. Il
gioco è stato acclamato dalla critica ed è risultato influente per tutta le generazione di giochi
d'avventura seguenti. A esso sono seguiti un alto numero di sequel.

Dopo il ritorno da una spedizione in Himalaya, Lara Croft è contattata da Jacqueline Natla, una connivente donna
d'affari che convince Lara a recuperare un misterioso manufatto dalla tomba di Qualopec in Perù. Senza perdere
tempo, Lara si avvia alla ricerca di uno dei tre pezzi dell'antico Skion, un mistico talismano di incredibile potere,
che proviene da Atlantide. Tuttavia, dopo aver scovato il frammento, le cose si mettono male quando Lara si trova faccia
a faccia con uno dei sicari di Natla.
